I’m Ben, a software engineer, musician, and avid homebrewer living in Somerville, Massachusetts. I’ve been brewing different styles of ales for over five years. After receiving a make-your-own beer kit as a gift, I dove right into homebrewing and haven’t looked back. I’ve followed existing recepies and even designed a few of my own, improving my technique with each batch.

Homebrewing has been a great way to explore the wide world of beer, whether its learning more about my favorite styles or making something I’ve never had before. This blog is primarily to document my own progress as I continue to grow as a homebrewer. Hopefully in sharing my recipes and experiences, I can be of help to other homebrewers as well!

I’m a member of the Cambridge, MA homebrew club Post Modern Brewers. We meet every 2nd Tuesday at the Modern Homebrew Emporium on Massachusetts Ave. I’m also the club’s social media officer, and you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook.
